Let the robot revolution begin
Today I suddenly see a lot of discussions about the NEO Home Robot from 1X on the internet. And followed by a whole lot of discussion about humans being obsolete. Bla bla bla... I am not engaging with that discussion here. I have my opinions that may or may not agree with that perspective.
BUT. I am a huge fan of the Anime, Plastic Memories. It has a great story and it's functional. But for me, it captures what the robotics holy grail is - robots indistinguishable from humans.
Heck I name my research machine Isla and Tsukasa after the characters from Plastic Memories.

No doubt that homanoid robots will become a societal problem sooner or later. Labor being replaced with cheaper machines. Robotic polic forces. Name it. And I am prepared to hack these things when a robot revolution is upon us. But I hope, we end up in the right timeline where things goes well and we see Plastic Memories level of robots happning in real life.
