At the 39th Chaos Communication Congress

Just a random post because I had much fun at 39C3. As per CCC's strict photo policy. Photos will not contain people unless they all concent to be photo'd. At least to the degree that they are not recognizable.

I am not exactly sure what to expect when I handed in the Hamburg airport. This is the first time me being in Germany. I headed to the S-Bahn to get to my hotel. Ho...ly winter germany is cold. The aircraft maybe is warmed to 20°C. The outside is -2°C while all my winter clothing is in my luggage, I just had a thin-ish zipper jacket. Unsure if the following image makes any justic. But dang I am freezing.

I have to complain that hvv switch is such a bad App for public transportation. I had to go through hoops to get my credit card accepted and had to tell the app where I am going in order to get a ticket. Let alone the physical ticket machines not accepting my credit card. Can't it be sane and just let me pay a flat rate like almost everywhere else?

The CCC is hosted at CCH (Congress Center Hamburg). Cleverly the CCH logo has the H covered up and replaced with a C. Making the building show CCC temporarily. It looks fairly normal during the day time sort of like FOSDEM.. but the best description I can come up with is.. It's a 4 days stright hacker party.

During night. As you can see from the next picture. Party time! Smoke, lazer, booze and music. I wish I didn't enjoy German brot so much that I would have stomach for much beer and much more Club Mate.

Ofc, there's Club Mate and their CCC Flora Power Mate.

And one of the most punk thing I saw -- the AI bubble machine. That actually makes bubbles!!

And CCC being CCC -- there's many cat ears and anime/kawaii themed things

That also includes Miku!
